Connecting anywhere, anytime is essential to modern lifestyles. But to stay connected, you also need to charge those nasty batteries in your smartphone. But there is nothing more annoying to me than reducing battery life-wires and cables! I'm sure I won't say this for myself, but in most OCD games for people as powerful as me, wires are the bane of keeping the interior of our cars and even our desks clean and tidy. Then the technology industry brought wireless charging technology. No need to use a data cable to charge a smartphone can only be briefly summarized as "witchcraft." As they begin to develop, these wireless chargers are now becoming the coveted "advanced" features in most modern cars, or manufacturers have to believe.

Although I like the idea of not having to carry a charging cable with me or even buy another one in the car, this technology is not completely bulletproof. It is still a new form of technology, so it can be understood that it is not without problems.

First, the problem is the integration of these charging boards in the car and its dashboard. While some automakers can do this seamlessly, some do not. But all smart phone sizes are not universal. Some are wide and some are tall, ensuring that these chargers are compatible with all the products on the market is a difficult task.

Another problem with wireless charging pads in cars is that the phone jumps from the best charging point on the charging pad. Some people suggest using a stand that can be tightly fixed to the phone to solve this problem. Although this would be great, it is not yet available, and to make them universal in the non-universal smart phone design world, smart phone cases will also face another challenge that needs to be adapted.

The fourth problem is the heat dissipation problem caused by wireless charging. Smartphones tend to become very hot. However, some cars such as Kia Sonet and Hyundai i20 have a cooling function, which helps management to a certain extent.

But the biggest problem with today's wireless chargers is when you want to use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Mirror only the apps that you should be allowed to use while driving, which helps eliminate driver distractions, and it is very convenient to use the voice command function through Siri or Google Assistant. However, in most cars today, they only work when connected to a USB port, so they can also be charged. The last thing to consider is that a large number of smartphones sold in India do not support wireless charging. Only advanced models can provide this feature. Therefore, having a wireless charging pad and wired smartphone mirroring function is of little significance. However, other luxury vehicles such as the new Hyundai i20, Nissan Magnite and BMW provide the ability to use CarPlay or Android Auto wirelessly.

In addition, automakers and Apple have been working to introduce a digital car key that can be removed together with the key chain. The new BMW 5 Series is the first car to provide this feature. You can leave the remote control key at home, install the application on your smartphone to lock and unlock the car, and then put the phone on the wireless charger to start the car and use the mirroring application wirelessly. It sounds cool, but we haven't actually used it in the real world.

So, should you choose to pay extra for a higher-spec car and only pay for the extra for a wireless charger? Now, unless all the stars are aligned correctly—wireless charging pads, wireless phone mirroring, and cooling capabilities, it’s almost meaningless. Currently, car wireless chargers are not "easy." However, in the near future, especially with the emergence of next-generation cars, wireless charging pads and smartphones that support it are likely to become more efficient, manage heat dissipation issues, and allow me and all of us to live unfettered. Life. Until then, I recommend continuing to use these nasty wires. But the future is bright, and it may be wireless.
