A few weeks after launching the "Gold Edition" variant of Safari, Tata Motors has upgraded Safari with some additional features. New features are introduced in the top XZ, XZ+, XZA and XZA+ variants of Tata Safari, and are purely for convenience.

The above-mentioned changes of Tata Safari are reflected in the new features such as wireless charging of smartphones, air purifier with AQI index display on the infotainment screen, Wi-Fi connection, and wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto. The infotainment system is also running on the new R18.00 version, with smoother touch operation and faster touch response. The wireless charging pad is located in front of the drive mode selector knob in the lower part of the center console.

Externally, they have functions such as xenon HID projector headlights, front fog lights with turning function, dual-function daytime driving LEDs, 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, roof rails and LED taillights.

The cabin has also received advanced features such as Benecke Kalico’s iconic Oyster white leather interior, terrain response mode knobs, 8.8-inch touch screen infotainment system, 9-speaker JBL sound system with subwoofer and amplifier, 7-inch TFT monitor, electric driver's seat, tilt and telescopic adjustable multifunctional steering wheel, electronic parking brake and six airbags. The XZ+ and XZA+ variants are also equipped with a panoramic sunroof and a mid-row captain seat option.

Launched in early 2021, the new Tata Safari is a seven-seater version of the Tata Harrier, with a very different rear profile, different interior options and subtle adjustments to the front. However, it continues to be powered by the same 2.0-liter Stellatis diesel engine from Harrier.

Tata Safari is powered by a 2.0-liter KRYOTEC diesel engine with a maximum power of 170 PS and a peak torque of 350 Nm. There are six-speed manual transmission or six-speed automatic transmission to choose from. The new Tata Safari does not provide a gasoline version, but if there is demand, Tata may launch a gasoline version in the future. The vehicle also has a long list of safety features. It has a 14-function ESP and can get various towing modes, terrain modes, etc. All four wheels of Safari are also equipped with disc brakes. The vehicle is also equipped with six airbags with high-end versions.
