The Google phone update also allows you to quickly access Snapchat from the lock screen.

Pixel phones are getting new features.

Google announced the latest features of Pixel phones on Monday, including quick access to Snapchat from the locked screen and the option to use Pixel 6 as a digital car key. 

Through the software update, Pixel users can use a new feature called Quick Tap to Snap to open the messaging app directly from the lock screen. Since 5G Pixel 4A, this feature is applicable to all pixels. Starting this month, Google will add a Pixel-specific lens called Pixel Face to your snapshot. 

Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro users will get additional updates. For some 2020-2022 BMW models, Pixel 6 owners can lock and unlock the car by tapping the phone on the door handle. They can also start BMW by placing the Pixel 6 on the internal key reader while pressing the engine start button. The option of using Pixel 6 as a digital car key emerged after Android 12 introduced similar features earlier this year.  

The update will be rolled out from Monday to next week.
