ESR keeps pace with Apple with its new iPhone 13-series compatible HaloLock cases - NotebookCheck.net News

ESR's HaloLock system is this OEM's third-party answer to Apple MagSafe, although it diverges from that 'original-brand' type of wireless charging with innovative takes such as the in-car and kickstand variants (which the Cupertino giant has yet to get around to inventing itself).

MagSafe was developed for the iPhone 12 series and, as with alternatives such as ESR HaloLock, often needs compatible cases to maintain the strength and efficacy of its power delivery. Accordingly, owners of these non-Apple products might worry about their usability should they upgrade to the new 13 series.

However, ESR has announced that they have this issue covered with the new HaloLock-enabled cases. They consist of the clear silicon Classic Hybrid variant (prominent white ring and all); their opaque Cloud counterparts, the rugged Air Armor with shock-absorbing corners and the "real leather" Metro option.

Then again, they only come in varieties that fit the successors to the 12, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max, leaving the new 13 Mini out (for now, at least). The ESR versions of MagSafe cases are not quite as expensive as in-house options, yet still start at US$26.99 for the iPhone 13 Classic Hybrid Case with HaloLock.
