Thumbnails are store in the internal storage 🙄 Creating the thumbnails take longer than loading the picture it's being created from off the sdcard and after being created, it get stored in internal so the speed of the sdcard doesn't matter. Even if it's stored on the sdcard, it's not loading 20K of thumbnails, it loading just what is on the screen and the total amount of data loaded is probably less than 10 files totaling less than 0.5MB at any given time, swiping through a decent gallery app doesn't actually loads all the thumbnail ether. The performance different only really shows when backing up the picture off the phone with it being super slow unless you got a decent expensive sdcard. Backup on the sdcard that's on the phone itself sounds like asking for trouble, also probably slower than to a hard drive. SanDisk Extreme Pro SD is a range of sdcard, since you didn't say which specially, I am just gonna assume it's something stupid like 2 V90 128GB at around $200 USD each, to which I say just buy a second 256GB phone, it's cheaper and you don't have to swap cards 😆 besides, it not hard to find a OTG sdcard reader, it's cheap and all over the place if you really need it. but whatever, you do you and I save a big enough buck to get a 1TB drive that out performance any sdcard out on the market at similar price for backups.

We're using the extra storage partition for backups, kits, documents, photos, videos, scripts, programs etc. But nothing is being run from it. Basically we have all the data we need INSTANTLY. No cables, dongles, adapters, wifi, internet needed! Second, I have 2 ORIGINAL SanDisk Extreme Pro SD cards that are absolutely flying! Been using them and never had a problem. Never formatted them. I've got over 20k photos. It literally takes less than a second for the 3rd party gallery to load the thumbnails. LESS than a second! You're just trying to defend this very stpd trend that the cheap trashy brands are adopting to cut costs and make you, the customer, pay more for LESS features! No SD card slot = NO BUY!!! 👎👎👎
seem kind of dumb the things people complain about, no sdcard: 256GB is a lot, what are you filling it with that it isn't enough for you? not to mention sdcard are slow, even a class V90 is only guarantee 17% of internal speed of a POCO F3, 5 times slower and on a cheap class 10 sdcard, 50 times slower. My tip is just get a proper hard drive and zip up your files before transferring and not store that much -stuff- on your phone, USB 2/WIFI 5 is at least 6 times faster than a class 10 sdcard, or better yet, use the cloud or NAS with Dual-Band WIFI 6. no USB 3: Wifi exist people, sure the current wifi 5 sucks, but if you have the latest setup, Dual-Band Wifi 6 (speed from a LTT video), reach more than half the speed of a Galaxy S9+ (speed from reddit) for large files, if you don't bother with zipping your files before transferring, there are solutions using wifi that will be faster at transferring tons of small files as MTP sucks. If you only have USB-2 computer/External-Drive, then having USB-3 will not help you. no Dex/Video out: Casting exist but that sucks at the moment so we can ignore that, that ain't desktop mode too, but the potential is there, just need someone to actually do it. However if you can't wait, there is another thing call scrcpy which uses ADB and is available over wifi too, that has desktop mode and once stuff is less buggy, it should be good enough for most, assuming they figure out how to setup and connect.

You have to unerstand simple things phone is small device there is no need for perfect and maxed everything such as display. Its just a phone not a TV. Same goes for everything else. Having James Webber space oculus camera capabilities on a phone is really not needed. Its a phone. If you buy quality camera for let say 500 and another 500 spnd for a phone you can get perfect equal device compared to this one. Having monstrous CPU, GPU and RAM is also not viable because there is no app, no game or task which a phone with half of best couldnt made in litterary same time. Waiting 1 more second to run same app like in a most powerfull phone on the market is OK. If after the launch will perfectly work wiithout any slowdown. Only clumsy people would argue opposite. Lastly i am not here to lecture you or anyone else. I am just trying to say Nothing is perfect and even best of the best gets old and pretty fast nowdays. What now cost 1800 bucks like Sony 1 Pro will cost 900 after year and 450 after 2. And after 2 years the succesor will cost 2000 maybe more and after another 2 years it will be 500. Since nothing remains in its base value and get degraded over time there is no need to spend so much on something which will be not worth in few weeks or months. Now speaking for my self_ I rather give to poor pay less for having the same small differences not spotted by human eyes are not worth and try to save planet and people in needs. Big companies cares only about profit but not care about planet and basic people which are the main work force of every big company. They do everything to make this profit and if you or me or anyone else will stands in their way they find the way how to get rid of us leggaly. There are no winners in this game just loosers. And every pawn can become king just be be pawn once again if he or she will ignore the very basic which helped build his or her company and prestige. Have a nice day people.

Even bill of materials of iphone 13 pro is over $500. Man few things.Any screen protector cost 0,50 cents to 2 eur on allierxpress does same trick as GG victus for much less. GG vuctus is expensive gimmick and not needed.v Old Noias of the past had n GG resistance and screen was far more durable than new phones. 4K HDR Oled is not needed because no human eye can spot differences on a 6 inch screen. If you have 1024 or HD+ is more than enough. Its a phone with small 6 inch screen not a 100 inch TV. Even a 8K or 16K screen on a phone is completely useless like having a laser sight on a slinger or buying a ropeless skipping rope or buying a DVD rewinder. Next: Xperia has ZERO components made by chinese companies. Xperia is not assembled in China. This increases prices. Xperia has software created and polished by people from Alpha, from CineAlta, from Sony Pictures and Sony Music. It is nothing cheap. Man Xperia is assembled in Japan that right but most components are china made. Displays, motherboard phone body batteries etc. Xperia Add-ON or UI is same garbage like Samsung, Apple Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo etc. Anything which isnt stock android is garbage because its a bloatware which slows down your phone consumes your ram and battery and is useless and obsolette. Only stock android is winner her. Let everyone use and install apps they like and want. Apart the google play everything else should be customizable. Next: Do not compare to chinese phones that have over 70% of local components that do not pay import taxes. Phones assembled in China, which is cheaper. Man i do because they are cheaper but equal in every aspect. Xiaomi or Samsung or most other branded flagships made in china lasts equal to Sony and when something has to breaks it breaks regardless the brand. Even Iphone is not perfect it comes from china is assembled in china and most components are china or Taiwan made. Lastly cimponents get cheaper over time. But not everybody makes cheaper over time. Iphones even old ones like Iphone 8 or X cost pretty high even they are pretty old. For same price even a Sony can make a lot better specced device. Companies like Realme, Xiaomi, Meizu etc can make for same amount of money a flagship grade device such as Poco F1 was.

If you really do want or need an underwater rig for smartphone, forget those cheap $5 covers. Go big or professional (or expensive, if you know what I mean), or go home.

I was only lucky to play with the Mi 11 Ultra at a concept store nearby my home. Maybe Xiaomi will make more 12 Ultra units, but only time will tell.

They use cheap parts and QC is so bad that there are many issues like auto cracking glass, buttons come out on itself, broken sim trays, motherboard issues and battery issues. Their software is even worse. They need at least 6 months to fix a bug. And they are the only smartphone brand in the entire world to only give one android update to their flagship phones. So, it is not a surprise to only sell 500k units in 2021.
Who would pay anything more than entry level on this brand ??? they are rubbish.

Why do I have to wirelessly share my screen?, when I have a type-C port and a dongle and a HDMI cable :(. (obviously joking) If you need this feature, which I doubt, go buy a Samsung and stop complaining.
I bought a Redmi Note 8 Pro after extensive research. It proved excellent in every way -- remarkable value for money. Alas, after I had had it for nearly a year it acquired the habit of suddenly rebooting with no apparent reason. Xiaomi offered little help, telling me I would need to reset to factory settings. I discovered it was a common fault with this model. After 18 months I could stand it no more. I have replaced it with a more expensive, but reliable Samsung. I would like to sell my Redmi, but nobody is interested in buying that make. Very disappointing., as on the whole it has been brilliant.
