State police reported that a Randolph man was speeding on Soldiers Field Road, driving at high speed on Leo Birmingham Parkway in Brighton, where he ran a red light on Western Avenue and crashed into a car, killing the driver.

Initial investigations by Troopers revealed that a 19-year-old Randolph man ANDERSON A. NOVA was negligent in driving a rented 2022 Buick Enclave sports utility vehicle on Soldiers Field Road in Brighton before continuing into Birmingham Parkway. NOVA was accelerated by an MSP cruiser and drove in the opposite direction on the soldier's field road. The soldiers on the cruiser changed directions, but did not see the escaped vehicle and did not pursue it.

Soon after, they continued to move in the same direction as the suspicious vehicle they had observed traveling at high speed, and the troops observed smoke rising from the intersection of Birmingham Park Avenue and Western Avenue. Upon reaching the intersection, Troopers observed the Buick Enclave sweeping a Honda Civic driven by 53-year-old Dina L. Donahue of Topsham, Maine. The soldiers observed NOVA running away from the crash site with his dog and arrested him.

Investigations revealed that Ms. Donahue was the only occupant of her vehicle when she was driving on Western Avenue and turned on the green light when she entered the intersection with Birmingham Park Avenue. Investigation revealed that at that time, NOVA ran through a red light at high speed and hit the driver's door of Ms. Donahue's Civic.

State police stated that the SUV was stolen, Nova's license was revoked earlier, and the police found stolen checks and credit cards in the SUV. He was taken to a local hospital - different from the hospital Donahue was taken to - and was charged with motor vehicle homicide, negligent operation, operation after suspension, speeding, leaving the scene of the accident causing personal injury or death, accepting theft Property and unauthorized use of motor vehicles.

The teenager rushed through the red light. A woman in her 50s died. The teenager was arrested in the hospital.

Who could have thought that the complete indifference to the red light law in the area and the complete dismissal of the terrible drivers by the local police would lead to such completely predictable results

Will he be cited?

It should be the problem. But given the current law enforcement trends, I understand your question. Being arrested is a good start.

He will be slapped in the face, or even his driver’s license will not be revoked, because in this messy country, the value of cars is higher than the people.

jail? Has Mass Bail Fund closed for Christmas?

In contrast to the two terrible crashes in Texas, in these accidents, the cyclist was crushed to death and the driver did not even show up at the scene. It takes several weeks for an incident to be cited. A 16-year-old boy crushed one group of coal while crushing another group.

Everyone knows that only cyclists run red lights.

The road was taken over by dangerous, ruthless drivers. They don't care about any type of traffic enforcement at all, maybe because they don't.

I never thought that a death trap at a crossroad would kill a person.

I extend my condolences to the family of this lady.

The worst timing I have ever seen. I have lived in North Beacon and Market for so many years and have been using them to Soldiers Field Rd. It takes more than four minutes to travel, what, 1000 yards, is this not uncommon?

It is also my condolences, but others have already said it for me.

Express condolences to the woman who died, and condolences to her family and relatives.

Complaining that you can't drive fast enough? ? ? Maybe it should be considered now, maybe there is a worse result than sitting in a climate-controlled upholstered seat with a built-in entertainment system for 4 more minutes.

I want to travel in one of them.

Not a reason to complain, but an opportunity to complain. There is a difference.
